The cabin is roughly 1, 000 square feet, located in a secluded but sunny 4. 3 acres of wooded property with beautiful mountain views, northwest to the Upper Sunshine Coast ( Powell River ), with  gorgeous year around snow capped mountains. To the east is the Caren Range – old growth forest – and it runs along Highway 101 to Sechelt, where they become the Tetrahedron range. To the west is Mount Daniel, with great hiking trails that lead to a stunning overlook of Pender Harbour.

There are only 7 homes on our dead end road, with all owners having acreage. Across the road is Crown land with walking trails and a laneway that provides walking access to cottages that front onto Oyster and Gunboat Bay.

There is a large cedar roof gazebo that frames the small fish pond off the front deck. The driveway is large and circular and has plenty of room for  a boat trailer or RV, with easy turnaround and parking, making the cottage a great stop on the Circle Route encompassing the upper & Lower Sunshine Coast and southern Vancouver Island.

A landscape of Japanese maples and cedars, hydrangea, lots of potted plants, climbing wisteria and other flora that thrives in our temperate climate creates an oasis in which our guests love to relax.

The cabin is surrounded by an additional 1, 100 square feet of multilevel decking on three sides (off dining area, the main two tiered deck runs across dining/living area), complete with picnic table and benches on lower level, with glass patio table and crank out umbrella on upper level and lounging chairs for your pleasure.

The front entrance has another entry deck that is about 400 sq feet complete, with sunken hot tub for working out the kinks of a day of sightseeing and exploring, and for stargazing at night. Our Sunshine Coast cottage also offers propane heaters and a fire pit for outside warmth, and solar path lighting so you can walk after dark with confidence.
